A Celtic Knot Border With A Few Bumps Along The Way

Hi Friends!  Well, I ran into a few struggles as I worked to finish this new Celtic cross with a knotwork border.  Thankfully, though, I was able to figure it out and have finished the design! Yay!  These intricate knots require a particular grid of dots with break-lines that vary for each pattern.  They also require a particular number of spaces for the pattern to repeat correctly around the square so that they form a seamless border.  (You can see this grid in the video below.)  Well, it turns out that when I initially drew the grid pattern, I did not have the correct number of spaces.  Arrrg!  But, with some recalculating, remeasuring and redrawing, I was able to lay the grid out correctly and finish the pattern and cross.  Wooo!

Here’s a fairly short video that shows the process I worked through to draw this Celtic knot border.  Enjoy!
