Iris #1 is DONE!!

Eeeek!  It’s finished!!  The first beautiful purple iris for my colored pencil drawing titled “God’s Magnificent Wisdom” is done!  I can’t tell you how excited I am to see this stunning flower come to life on paper.  I’m so blown away by the wide variety of purple hues that God packed into this seemingly simple purple flower.  The red-violets, blue-violets, purples, pinks, and deep dark purples just amaze me with their depth and beauty!

I’m so blessed, honored, and grateful that God has given me this work to do and this series to create.  Getting to study the beauty of His creation, to see the love and care He puts into each flower and the amazing wisdom it took to create them is a blessing beyond words.  Our God is truly amazing and I’m so honored to get to capture His masterpieces so that they can continue to uplift and encourage His children long after that little flower has returned to dust.
